It really jazzes up the classroom! Quilting ideas, eh? Well, you could run two straight lines down each side of the red zigzgs to mimic the straight sashing pieces and then you could quilt zigzags in the aforementioned sashing pieces. Or, you could soften the zigzags with some curved or arched pattern and still do the zigzags in the sashings.
